MON, completed by FMKD at just 23 years old, is a release of special significance for our label.

Building upon the strong vision presented in his independently released previous work UMMA, this album distills inspirations drawn from Jōmon culture and pottery, classical Japanese traditions, and folkloric beliefs such as mononoke, alongside the intensely shifting life force within the artist himself, into a more refined and focused musical expression.

On MON, FMKD anchors his sound in his roots in Hip Hop, organically blending electronic tones, sampling, and soundscapes.

These elements function as more than beats or textures; like a natural process that draws upon its surrounding environment, FMKD demonstrates a clear understanding of what sounds are essential, successfully enclosing diverse sonic elements within a tangible, three-dimensional space.

The resulting sound simultaneously embraces chaos and stillness, primal energy and futurism.

FMKDが23歳という若さで完成させた『MON』は、私たちのレーベルにとっても特別な意味を持つ作品です。
自主リリースした前作『UMMA』で示された強いビジョンを起点に、本作では日本の縄文文化や縄文土器、日本の古典、民間信仰における、もののけなどから得たインスピレーション、そして自身に激しく揺れ動く生命力を、より研ぎ澄まされた音楽表現へと昇華させています。

『MON』においてFMKDは、自身のルーツであるHip Hopを軸に、電子音、サンプリング、サウンドスケープを有機的に配合し、それらは単なるビートやテクスチャーに留まらず、自然が周囲の環境を利用するプロセスのように、必要な音を明確に理解し、様々な音の要素を実体的な空間に閉じ込めることに成功しています。
